BIRDSFOOT TREFOIL

Birdsfoot Trefoil is a long-lived perennial legume ideally suited for many grass-legume pastures. It grows and produces forage during July and August when most cool-season grasses are semi-dormant. Trefoil does not cause bloat, as do many other commonly used legumes.

KOREAN LESPEDZA

Korean Lespedeza is a low growing warm season annual legume known for its ability to tolerate acidic and low fertility soil. it does most of its growing in the months of July and August. Korean Lespedeza is very highly palatable and does not cause bloat.

COW PEAS

Cow Peas are an excellent source for nitrogen fixing, weed suppression, and work great in a cover crop mix. They perform best in warm temperatures and well drained soils, and are very drought tolerant. Cow Peas provide high quality forage that can be hayed or grazed.

AUSTRIAN WINTER PEAS

Austrian Winter Peas are good in fall-planted cover-crop and wildlife mixes. They will grow much later into the fall than spring peas. Austrian Winter Peas will often survive winters in the Midwest and prodvide lush spring growth. Austrian Winter Peas can be used in grazing environments and compliment other plant species when used in a mix.
